Leicester City has been named the Premier League's first club to be eligible for a season-long transfer ban, according to reports.

The club, which is owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), has been accused of breaching FIFA rules regarding financial fair play.

If found guilty, Leicester City could face a fine and potential points deduction, as well as being banned from European competitions for two seasons.

However, the PIF has denied any wrongdoing and has said that it will fight the allegations in court.

Despite the controversy surrounding the club, Leicester City remains one of the most successful teams in English football history, having won four Premier League titles, as well as numerous other domestic and international honours.

The club has also made a number of high-profile signings in recent years, including Harry Kane and James Maddison, who have helped to turn Leicester City into one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

While the club may face challenges ahead, it remains to be seen whether its success on the pitch will be enough to shield it from the consequences of its actions off it.
